Long Beach asking for volunteers to clean harbor | Environment

The City of Long Beach is asking for volunteers to help clean up the harbor ahead of the Cruisin' the Coast parade on Monday.

Mayor Billie Skellie says there is not a whole lot of clean up, but there is still a little debris left and some trash workers were not able to pick it all up with machines.

If you would like to help you are asked to bring garbage bags and other supplies to the harbor on Cleveland Avenue Friday or Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon.
